’26 G Jacob Williford, transfer from Cypress Ranch HS, Texas.

Millennium Basketball announced today via social media that Class of 2026 Guard Jacob Williford has transferred to the school and will play for the Tigers in this upcoming season.

The 6’4 guard out of Houston is described on scouting reports as an athletic, two-way shooter, who is able to contribute on both ends of the floor. Last season, Williford helped lead the Cypress Ranch Mustangs (Houston, TX) deep into the 6A Playoffs as their second-leading scorer. In the 23-24 Season, the guard put up numbers of 12.9 PPG, 4.5 RBG, and 2.5 APG. Williford led the team in steals and minutes played.

Williford’s play has earned him looks from college scouts. He currently holds 6 Division 1 Offers as of July 29th, 2024, including schools such as Arizona State and TCU.

Williford projects to have a very productive season, as he will presumably fill the role left by Cal State Northridge-Commit Sabien Cain, who graduated in May. Williford is another weapon that will be at the disposal of Coach Ty Amundsen when his transfer period ends at the halfway mark of the season. Williford figures to be the starting PG alongside junior SG Cameron Holmes and senior PF Kingston Tosi, who has exploded in popularity amongst college scouts this past summer.

Millennium, who will compete in the 6A Central division this year, is seemingly a lock to again be one of the best teams in both Arizona and Nationally this season. They are poised to have another legitimate shot at an Open Division Finals this season as well, as they hope to finally get over the hump this season and take home an Open Championship.
