One of Arizona’s top AZHS basketball recruits is already looking ahead to his college career.

Adan Diggs, the Millennium standout and Rivals’ No. 1 overall recruit in the 2028 class has reclassified to 2027, according to On3/Rivals. Even after moving up a full class, Diggs is still expected to hold the No. 1 overall spot in the 2027 rankings.

The move only adds to what has already been one of the biggest recruitments in Arizona high school basketball. Diggs, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, averaged 22.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game this past season at Millennium, earning MaxPreps National Sophomore Player of the Year honors.

Diggs transferred into Millennium after spending his freshman year at Williams Field. Touted as one of the top prospects in the state before he even played a minute of action in high school, Diggs teamed up with fellow nationally-ranked recruit, Cameron Holmes, in a season that saw the Millennium Tigers achieve national power ranking status, as well as a run to the Final Four of the state’s Open Division bracket.

His recruitment already reflects that national profile. Diggs has taken unofficial visits to Arizona, USC and UCLA, while holding offers from programs including Kentucky, Arizona, BYU, Alabama, Kansas, Washington, Arizona State, Oregon, Texas, Villanova, Stanford, Texas A&M and Houston.

For Arizona basketball, the reclassification makes the spotlight even brighter. Diggs was already viewed as one of the top young prospects in the country, but now his recruitment, rankings status and college timeline all move forward. One of the most talented players to come out of the state is no longer just the top name in 2028. He is now the No. 1 overall prospect in 2027.
