One of Arizona’s top offensive line talents in the Class of ’27 is on the move.

Class of 2027 offensive lineman Brayden Mendoza has announced his transfer from Vista Grande to Chandler, giving the Wolve sanother significant addition as they prepare to defend their place among Arizona’s elite programs.

The 6’7, 285-pound Tackle arrives in Chandler after spending the early portion of his high school career with Vista Grande, a program which has been solid over the last couple of years in Southern Arizona. During his time with the VG, Mendoza helped anchor an offensive line unit that consistently competed against some of the region’s toughest competition.

Now, the talented lineman will join a Chandler program that is once again expected to contend for championships in 2026.

The move adds another experienced piece to a Chandler roster that has become known for producing high-level offensive line talent and competing annually for state titles. Mendoza’s size, physicality, and experience in big-game environments should provide immediate value as Chandler looks to reload following another successful season.

For Mendoza, the transfer represents a new opportunity to continue his development while competing in one of Arizona’s most competitive football environments. In addition, it also means he will be protecting one of the top talents not just in the state, but the country: 5-star Quarterback and recent Oregon-commit Will Mencl.

As offseason workouts and summer preparations continue across the state, Chandler’s addition of Mendoza immediately becomes one of the more notable transfer moves of the offseason. With the 2026 campaign approaching, the Open-Division runner-ups have added another talented piece to a roster that figures to remain firmly in the championship conversation.

Barring a hardship appeal to the AIA, Mendoza will be active for Chandler starting Week 6 against Cactus Canyon following the 5-game transfer penalty.

The transfer also serves as another reminder of how active Arizona’s offseason has become, with programs across the state continuing to reshape their rosters ahead of what promises to be another highly anticipated football season.
